  Dr. Lee Smith

  DDS, Diplomate, ASBA

  Lee Smith grew up in Colorado Springs, which he affectionately calls “the greatest city.” When he was a child, Lee’s mom, Sharon, was an assistant to a local dentist and, as a teenager, Lee shadowed the dentist to learn more about the profession. “What appealed to me was the personal contact with so many people and being able to make a difference in the way people feel about themselves and the way the world would see them,” Dr. Smith says. Lee attended Regis University for his undergraduate education and received his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the University of Colorado School of Dental Medicine in 1994. As a young doctor, Dr. Smith joined the practice of Dr. Al Ernster in 1994, and in 1995, Dr. Smith bought the practice, becoming the owner and lead dentist.

  Eric Erlander

  DDS, Diplomate, ABDSM

  Eric Erlander grew up in Colorado Springs and knew he wanted to be a dentist early in life. “I wanted to help people,” he says. “I love the hands-on artistry of dentistry and the personal relationships that we get to establish with our patients.” Eric received his undergraduate degree from Pacific Lutheran University and received his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree in 2003 from the University of Colorado Health Sciences Center. He joined HollowBrook Dental in 2003, and in 2006 became a full partner in the practice. In 2018, Dr. Erlander became a Diplomate of the American Board of Dental Sleep Medicine. Dr. Erlander is committed to ongoing continuing education, often traveling across the country to advance his knowledge of the latest techniques and technologies. His goal is to provide the best care to his patients.

  Dr. Michael Lovato

  DDS

  Dr. Lovato grew up here in Colorado Springs and graduated from Coronado High School. He then attended Regis College and graduated with a bachelor’s degree in Chemistry and Mathematics. Dr. Lovato went on to the University of Colorado, School of Dentistry and graduated in 1987. 2017 marks his 30th year in the dental field! He is currently a member of the American Dental Association, Colorado Dental Association, Colorado Springs Dental Society, and the RAZA Study Group. The doctor strives to continue his education through the Colorado Prosthodontics Society, the International Academy of Gnathology, The American Academy of Restorative Dentistry, and the Periodontal Study Group. Doctor Michael Lovato was voted one of the “Top Dentists in Colorado” by his peers for the past 3 years as published in 5280 Magazine. He married in 1983 and has 3 children. Dr. Lovato enjoys golfing, playing tennis, basketball, and skiing.

  Dr. Brad Renehan

  DDS, MD

  Bradley W. Renehan, D.D.S., M.D. was born and raised in Colorado Springs. He graduated from Wasson High School and attended The University of Colorado where he received his undergraduate degree in Pharmacy. After a challenging career as a Pharmacist, he attended The University of Colorado School of Dentistry from which he graduated Magna Cum Laude in 1996. Following graduation, he was accepted into the Oral and Maxillofacial residency program at the prestigious Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota. At the Mayo School of Medicine, he received his Medical degree in 2000. He completed an internship in general surgery and finished his tenure at Mayo Clinic in 2002. After leaving Mayo Clinic, Dr. Renehan worked as an Oral and Maxillofacial surgeon for a large group practice in Denver where he treated athletes from the Denver Broncos and the Colorado Avalanche. Wanting to return home, he relocated to Colorado Springs, where he opened his private practice, Colorado Surgical Clinic.

  Dr, Hayden Smith

  DDS

  Dr. Hayden Smith is joining the HollowBrook Dental team. He grew up in Colorado Springs, CO, and attended St. Mary’s High School in Colorado Springs, proudly embodying the spirit of the Pirates. Dr. Smith played Division III football and studied Exercise Science at California Lutheran University in Thousand Oaks, CA, where he also met his wife. After moving back to Denver, CO, he pursued his dental education at The University of Colorado School of Dental Medicine. Following his graduation as a DDS, Dr. Smith completed a one-year Advanced General Dentistry Residency through Idaho State University in Meridian, ID. Dr. Smith has always been passionate about healthcare, drawn to the profound gratitude that comes from helping others. Growing up in a dental office, he realized in college the significant impact dentists have on their patients’ lives—not just in addressing oral and systemic health concerns, but also in enhancing their self-confidence by perfecting their smiles’ aesthetics and functionality. He values the unique, team-oriented approach of dentistry and cherishes working with patients to build family-like relationships, tackling challenges together. Dr. Smith’s journey in dentistry began as a patient, progressing through roles as a dental assistant and equipment repair tech, dental student, and resident. With nine years of experience in dental offices, he has developed a deep appreciation for this technically demanding and ever-evolving profession. Dr. Smith is committed to continuous learning throughout his career, eager to contribute his skills and knowledge to the HollowBrook Dental team.

  Hayley Napier

  DDS

  “I am so honored and excited to care for your dental needs and walk alongside you to achieve your oral healthcare goals. I grew up learning from Dr. Smith and Dr. Erlander prior to attending dental school, and I am excited to be a part of the team. I am looking forward to getting to know each of you and to continue to provide the highest level of dental care that HollowBrook Dental is known for! I was born and raised in Colorado Springs. I spent most of my childhood playing soccer and basketball as well as attending my siblings’ sporting events. I earned my undergraduate degree from Azusa Pacific University (APU) in Southern California. I played on a successful APU soccer team where I was a team captain and NCAA Division II All-American. My time in soccer laid a foundation for my work ethic, communication skills, and teamwork. I always knew I wanted a career in the medical field, and I deepened my interest in dentistry in high school. I started shadowing different dental specialists and learning more about dentistry throughout college prior to working as a dental assistant. I received my dental education and training at the University of Colorado School of Dental Medicine. When I am not in the office, I enjoy spending time with my family and friends. My husband, Josh, and I love watching sports, going to movies, playing board games, and taking our Golden Retriever, Cooper, hiking. We are so grateful to be living in Colorado and being close to family. I look forward to meeting you and caring for your dental needs!”
